Molly Pitcher was a fighter in the American revolutionary war. She was an aggressive lass who loved standing side-by-side with the men on the front line. When prohibition came to America, a women’s league formed and opened a Speakeasy bar called The Molly Pitcher’s Club. This was one of New York’s most popular hidden bars and these women were aggressive with their disobedience. They were all for freedom of choice and of course they loved a stiff drink.
Molly isn’t just a standard carbon copy, beautiful fit-out, no personality kind of venue – she has a soul, a place you walk into and straight away feel the character. We are committed to creating an experience rather than just a bar, we pride ourselves on creating incredible drinks and providing exceptional service. The journey of finding Molly is half the fun and once you arrive you’ll be treated to Canberra’s most extensive selection of whisky, smooth live jazz plus so much more in an authentic 1920’s speakeasy setting.
